Testimonial for the Arden Grange Adult Pork & Rice from Rachel Blythe

"I work in a veterinary clinic in Newcastle-Under-Lynn and we stock the full range of Arden grange products. When the new pork flavour was launched I purchased a bag to see what my own dogs thought. The smell of the food must be so intense to them, they all went nuts jumping around with excitement and then in a flash all the food bowls were empty. Even one of the dogs who can be picky at times can’t wait for dinner now. If they could give a score out of 10, I think it would be 12/10. We have nearly finished the 2nd 12kg bag and without a doubt pork is most definitely on the menu in our house."

Adult Chicken & Rice Testimonial from Mr Kington & "Ishka"

“I have a Siberian Husky who for years has suffered with a very sensitive stomach. Despite many consultations and various tests, our vets have not been able to establish what is wrong. I started her on Arden Grange about 2 months ago, and since then she has been so much better. We suspect she may be allergic or intolerant to certain ingredients present in her previous diet but not in the Arden Grange Adult Chicken & Rice she now enjoys. Your food has proven very beneficial for our dog with her previously difficult, undiagnosed issue. Thank you very much, and please keep up the good work with this great hypoallergenic food! Well done!” Many thanks to Mr Kington for the kind words and the beautiful photo of Ishka relaxing in the garden.

"Bertie" ~ Sweet Little Staffie Belonging to Karen Donald

"My newest addition is Bertie the Staffie. He is a rescue from Battersea Dogs Home and we have just had him a month. He is just about 12 months old. He is not as greedy as the other two and obviously not as mature so he has gone onto Arden Grange Adult. Again although he has only been with us a short time he loves his Arden Grange and is putting weight on and his coat is much shinier." What a sweet little guy! I am in love wth Bertie.

"Poppy" Being Cared for by the Margaret Green Animal Rescue

Meet Poppy, a stray Labrador. Poor Poppy was dramatically underweight at only 19kg when she was first taken into care by the Tavistock rescue in Devon. She is now thriving on her Arden Grange Adult Chicken & Rice and is weighing a much healthier 22.5kg. Niki from Margaret Green says: "Within 7 days of having her on 6 small meals per day Poppy has gained weight. A big thank you to Arden Grange for providing Poppy's food since she arrived here. With it being such a good quality diet this enabled Poppy to have the nutrition she needed in small, regular meals". We are very happy with her progress and hope she continues to do well and soon finds a kind and loving new home. Buddy the staffie

The owners of Buddy got in contact to tell his story. We'd like to share it with you...We found Buddy dumped in a cat carrier in London. He was skin and bone and had demodectic mange and secondary infections in his skin due to the original problem not being treated. We had a long hard struggle to get Buddy back to health and one of the main problems we had was finding him a food that didn't irritate his skin. We also wanted to find one that he would enjoy. We came across the Arden Grange range and have never looked back. Buddy loves your food and it doesn't make him itch! We feed him Arden Grange Fresh Salmon & Rice at the moment, but he likes the other varieties too. Buddy was only about 7 months old when we first found him, and he’s 5 now. He loves to play frisbee and enjoys stripping the green fur off the outside of tennis balls. His favourite treat is sardines which he likes mixed in with his Arden Grange food. Buddy makes us smile every day he loves everyone and everything. He makes us laugh when he rubs his tummy on our carpet as he looks like he's swimming. We have recently taken him to the Lake District for a holiday. He has so much love to give and absolutely adores people. Buddy means the world to us! A big thank you to Nicola and John Owst for telling Buddy's story and for being such amazing parents to Buddy!

"Tess" & "Shadow" ~ Submitted by Jenni & Andy Fox

"Poor little Tess (the terrier) was found around 13 years ago in a ditch. It was felt she was dumped as no owner could be traced. Andy brought her home and she has been his real sidekick ever since! The vet estimated she was a Jack Russell terrier cross, just a few months old. As she got older she started to scratch a lot and her skin was getting drier. We tried some antihistamine but I did a lot of research in to dog food as we also adopted a Husky in January. Shadow the Husky was also a rescue dog and he has a very sensitive stomach. My research took me to Arden Grange and there has been no going back since - both dogs are thriving. Shadow now has a beautiful coat (which was very poor from his past) and Tess' skin is looking a lot better. They have been fed on Arden Grange for 5 months now. They both particularly love the Partners Chicken and we often mix it with the Salmon & Rice biscuits. Andy and I absolutely love walking so that has no doubt had an impact on how well Tess is doing at her age. She is very fit and is often still keen after miles of walking! Shadow also requires a lot of exercise and we love exploring the beautiful british countryside with them. Thanks so much again and they really are thriving thanks to Arden Grange I am glad I took the time to research the best for them." Many thanks to Jenni for the lovely story ~ we always like to hear about rescue dogs finding their forever homes.

King - The Norwegian Buhund puppy

“At Windsor back at the end of June 2012, my Buhund Puppy (who was then almost 7 months old) had been imported from Norway and since his arrival had developed bald patches under his eyes. I was recommended Arden Grange by some Siberian Husky breeders that I know as being good for skin problems. So I visited the stand and took a sack of the Adult Salmon and Rice home with me – he started it that night. Improvements were seen very quickly and soon won 2 Reserve CC’s, then at Welsh Kennel Club he won his first CC aged just 8 months! Another followed at Richmond then another Res. CC at Driffield with this 3rd CC, Best in Show and Best Puppy in Show being won at the Norwegian Buhund Club Championship Show in October – still only aged 10.5 months! Without Arden Grange, I am not sure what would have happened, the hair was disappearing around his eyes, and we had no idea why! THANK YOU Arden Grange for suggesting the Salmon and Rice food – it has certainly done the trick for my baby boy!”

"Tegan" the Staffie, kindly submitted by Jess Merryfield

"I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone at Arden Grange and particularly Ness for all her advice. I have switched my rescue staffie, Tegan, on to an Arden Grange diet after she showed signs of possible food intolerances. She has shown massive improvements in 2 weeks already, and her coat is super shiny and she has more energy. Her bowel movements have drastically improved and she is generally thriving on the diet." Many thanks to Jess for her kind words, and the lovely photo of Tegan enjoying the sunshine. Tegan is currently enjoying a variety of our products ~ the Adult Chicken & Rice, Salmon & Rice and Lamb & Rice.

Lesley Short and "Rudi" the German Shepherd

"In June 2013 my much loved German Shepherd was very suddenly and unexpectedly diagnosed with an inoperable sarcoma and given a time of worse scenario 2/3 months, best 6 months. Needless to say I was devastated. There had been no signs of any illness up to this point. Rudi competes at grade 6 in agility - a high level for a German Shepherd - and he gets placed, having achieved two firsts! After a long discussion with my vet I decided to let him have chemotherapy, although originally I was against this as I have never met anyone who has said they would go down this route again. I also did a lot of research on the internet. One of the things that kept coming up was food. More specifically, grain free diets or natural food diets. I am not particular a great fan of a natural diet as I do not feel that I have the experience to determine whether my dogs would be getting everything that they require, I also worked full time and did not think that I had the time to do it justice. I have fed my dogs on Arden Grange for years and always been very pleased with it's performance both for puppies and adult working dogs, having had two German Shepherds that lived to 14 years, it made sense to me to ring Arden Grange and talk to their nutritionist Arden Grange could not have been more helpful; they were also very knowledgeable about the recent research that I had seen, and advised me accordingly. After a long discussion I decided to try the 'Performance' diet, not exactly grain free but more suitable for Rudi as he can not tolerate fish very well. I was also given advice relating to antioxidants, free radicals, vitamin E, protein and fat content, plus supplements. On top of this I was given information on fresh/wet diet, quantities to feed and also what not to feed - such excellent customer service, I can not thank Arden Grange enough. Only 4 months on and I am pleased to say that Rudi is still doing well. Apart from his shaved legs and side you would not know that there was anything wrong with him. He is still competing in agility and getting placed, his eyes are bright and his coat is good. His energy levels haven't altered all through his treatment. The main things I have had to watch for have been his appetite and what he passes as the chemotherapy drugs can cause problems. Only once has he not eaten his food and that was when we found out he had developed an abscess on his biopsy scar. This was sorted out with antibiotics and he was back wolfing his Performance diet down with gusto again - much to my relief! I am so pleased with the Arden Grange Performance diet that I have changed my 3 year old lurcher onto it and will also change my lurcher puppy onto it as soon as he is old enough although currently he is doing very well on the Arden Grange Puppy Junior Large Breed. I do not know how much longer I have with Rudi but I do know that he is happy and well fed and that I have done the best I can for him - with the help of Arden Grange" Many thanks to Lesley for her testimonial. We are glad Rudi is doing so well on his Performance diet and that the Lurchers are Arden Grange doggies too.
